Whatever the job, the Duralux can handle it by delivering more light output with less power consumption than a typical 100-watt halogen light, maximizing work time while minimizing downtime. This 20-watt LED work light uses precision optics to shoot out a wide 40-degree beam that floods a large area with bright white light. In addition to delivering maximum usable light and stellar efficiency, this light also gives you the same look you've come to expect from similar, industry-standard halogen and HID commercial or industrial fleet lights. So you won't have to sacrifice the look that you want to get the visibility that you need.
The beam pattern of this light is great for seeing out in front of you as well as off to both sides, making it an excellent work light. It is ideal for commercial and industrial applications where being able to see what's ahead of you is important but being able to see in your periphery is vital.
Lumens are used to measure the amount of usable light that is put out by a light source. Raw lumens represent the number of lumens that the manufacturer claims the LED is capable of producing. It does not include the light's drive method or the amount of light lost from the lens or reflector. Effective lumens take these factors into account and represent the number of lumens that are actually produced by the complete light assembly, not just the amount of light that the diode is capable of producing. This Duralux has a 2,112 raw lumen capacity and produces 1,480 effective lumens for ultra-bright light.
Lux - or the amount of light per square meter - is a measurement of a light's intensity. One lux is the minimum amount of light that is needed for an average person to read a newspaper.
The above lux chart shows just how far and wide the Duralux's beam extends. The Duralux produces a light so bright and efficient that the beam measures 1 lux at 246' (75 meters). At that distance, the beam also measures 52' (16 meters) wide. To compare, a typical motorcycle headlight low beam measures 1 lux at 88' (10 meters), and a high beam measures 1 lux at 153' (47 meters).
This LED light delivers maximum efficiency at all times and always activates immediately, giving you steady, powerful, and reliable light every time you hit the switch. You'll see the difference the first time you fire this light up. Unlike HID lights, this light doesn't need to warm up to achieve its full brightness. And unlike halogen lights, the Duralux doesn't require that you change out the bulb due to a blown filament.
Not all LEDs are created equal. Vision X uses only top-grade LEDs to ensure that their lights deliver maximum efficiency. Lower-grade LEDs, which make up a large portion of the market, produce more heat at the same wattage and have a much shorter life span.
Although LED lights typically produce far less heat than halogen or HID lights, heat is still the biggest enemy of an LED. Because of this, many LED lights on the market are only driven to 60 percent of their potential to avoid overheating, electrical spikes, and premature failure. Vision X controls and combats heat with electronic thermal management (ETM). This allows the lights to be driven to 90 percent of their potential.
The ETM system monitors each LED's heat level to keep the light operating at a safe temperature, which maximizes its efficiency and life span. If the ETM senses that the LEDs are getting too hot, it dials back the current, lowering the light's output while still keeping the LEDs fully functional and protected against burnout.
This Vision X light is also built with an advanced heat sink to help dissipate heat. The heat sink has a channeled design that allows for convection-style cooling. The channels create a non-mechanical fan - outside air is sucked into the heat sink at one end and flows out of the other end, taking hot air produced by the light with it.
Vision X lights are incredibly durable, yet still lightweight. And they are thoroughly tested and protected against voltage spikes; damage from water, shock, or particulates; and interference with radio reception and vehicle wiring.
The Duralux has a rustproof, black powder coated aluminum housing and a tough, impact-resistant polycarbonate lens with a scratch-resistant coating for maximum strength and durability.
The 304 stainless steel mounting hardware resists vibration to keep the light firmly in place, and it won't rust or corrode.
And the included 2-wire harness has a triple-sealed, industry-standard Deutsch connector.

Today we're going to review part number DURA-440. This is the Vision X Duralux 20 Watt LED Flood Light with the forty degree beam. This part number comes with everything shown here on the table. It comes with the light and the bracket installed. It comes with a stainless steel bolt for mounting it to .. mounting the bracket to wherever you're going to mount it to.
It comes with an Allen wrench which is used on the side here. There's Allen bolts on each side so when you adjust this and you want to leave it in a certain position you can tighten it down with the Allen wrench. It also comes with this pigtail Deutsche connector. I'm going to show you how that connects a little bit later on here. This is an LED work light which will produce a bright flood beam. It has a wide forty degree flood beam which is ideal for industrial, commercial, and fleet applications.
It gives you superior light output. It has four, five watt LEDs to give you the twenty watt output. This does have maximum efficiency with minimal heat. It uses the premium LEDs with a fifty thousand hour lifespan. They're driven to ninety percent of their lighting potential.
This does use electronic thermal management, or ETM, technology which allows for highest potential light output at all times. If you notice on the back of the light it does have some channeled fins here on the housing which will let the air flow over it and dissipate the heat quickly. It's a durable, weather resistant construction. It has a nice rugged black powder coat aluminum housing which is lightweight and rust proof. Again, it installs by using this high tensile stainless steel bolt on this bracket. The lens on it is an impact resistant polycarbinate lens.
It has a scratch resistant coating. It's a very installation with all these components here, and again, the mounting bracket just installs with the one bolt here. It provides a sturdy mounting base. It lets you adjust the angle of the light you can see. This pigtail wiring harness uses the industry standard triple sealed Deutsche connector. Specs on this, this part number, the quantity is one light. It's four diodes. The wattage is twenty watts. A power draw is one point six-seven amps. Input voltage is eleven volts to sixty-five volts DC. It comes with a limited lifetime warranty. On the light itself, the effective lumen output is one thousand three hundred and eighty lumens. The raw lumen output is one thousand nine hundred and seventy-two lumens. The beam, when it's turned on, is two hundred and forty-six feet long and about fifty-two feet wide. It does give you a wide forty degree flood pattern. Approximate dimensions on this, it's about four inches wide, about four inches tall, and the depth on it is about two and a half inches. I do want to show you, up close, the Deutsche connector when I connect it here. We're going to plug it in. What I'm going to try to do here is zoom in. There we go. You can see here's the connector on the light end, and then we take the Deutsche connector and basically on this, if you'll notice, there's that orange around the outer edge there, around the ring here, it's three triple seals right there. They're like rubber seals so when you go to plug this into your pins on here it'll make the connector weather-proof. It keeps out any elements from your connection point. Basically you just push this in, it's a very snug fit. As you keep pushing it you'll hear it click into place and that locks in so it won't come out. To come out you have to push down to unlock it. That gives you a nice weather-proof connection when you're connecting your light to your wiring. What I'm going to do is with the Deutsche connector connected I do have a twelve volt power source here. I'm going to connect this to our twelve volt power source. It comes with two wires. The black is your ground, the red is your power wire. I'm going to get the ground wire and hook it up to the black. Then I'm going to take the red wire and hook it up to the power wire. Now what I'm going to do is go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. With the overhead lights off let me point the light down because it's very bright. Turn on the twelve volt power source and you can see the four LEDs gives you twenty watts. You can see it gives you a nice pattern. As I go back it gives you about a forty degree wide flood pattern. I'll go ahead and turn off the power, turn back on the overhead lights. That should do it for the review on part number DURA-440, the Vision X Duralux 20 Watt LED Flood Light with the forty degree beam. .

Very nice quality. Easy to mount. I mounted these on a bird hunting trailer for iliuminating the field when setting up decoys. After using them a few times I realize I should have purchased the 30 watt (6 LED) but that's no fault of the light. Overall great product!
High quality, great light output, low current draw
This lighting is amazingly bright and rugged. Great worklight out the back of a work van.
